To create an FTP account on Cpanel follow these instructions:
- Log into your Cpanel account
- In Files, click on FTP Accounts
- Under Add an FTP account
- In the Login field define a username
- Set a password in the Password field (use the password generator if needed)
- Re-enter this password in Confirm password (if you did not use the password generator)
- Under Directory define the root directory of the user
- Set the disk space quota under Quota
- Click on Create FTP account
- You will get the message Account created with the user's name below
- On the same page under FTP Accounts you have the list of existing FTP accounts
- To get the FTP client configuration settings, click on Configure FTP client on the right of the account line
