Create a MySQL database

To create a MySQL database on Cpanel, follow these instructions:

  •   Log in to your Cpanel account
  • In Database click on MySQL Databases
  • In the Create a database section, enter the name of your database in New database
  • Click on Create a database
  • You will receive the message Database <<database_name>> added
  • Click on Back
  • In the MySQL Users section, under Add New User, enter the name of the database user
  • Enter a password in Password
  • Click on Create User
  • You will receive the message, You have created a MySQL user named <<user_name>>
  • Click on Back
  • In the Add User to Database section, you can add a user to a specific database 
  • In User, enter the name of the user you want to add
  • In Database, select the database to which you want to add the user
  • Click on Add
  • Can then manage the user's rights in Manage user privileges
  • Check All privileges 
  • Click on Make changes
  • On the right side of the page you will see a Success message
